Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

Minutes:

The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting

 

In accordance with Standing Order 34.19, the Chair stated that she had determined that the public were excluded from the Committee’s meeting in order to protect public health.

 

There were no apologies or declarations of interest.

The Welsh Government's response to the Covid-19 pandemic and recovery

The Committee scrutinised the First Minister on the Welsh Government’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic and future recovery plans.

4.

Discussion of previous evidence session

Minutes:

The Committee discussed the evidence from the previous sessions and agreed to write to the First Minister to seek further information about a number of outstanding issues.

 

 

5.

Future meeting arrangements

Minutes:

The Committee agreed to hold an increased number of meetings in the autumn term in order to facilitate ongoing scrutiny of the Welsh Government’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Committee agreed to schedule two meetings of the full Committee with the First Minister, as well as two meetings attended by a sub-group of the Committee’s membership with the Counsel General in respect of his responsibilities to oversee Covid recovery work.
