Business Committee noted the 3 Week Timetable of Government Business.

Business Committee determined the organisation of Assembly business and agreed to schedule the following items of business:

Wednesday 7 February 2018

·         Debate on a Member's Legislative Proposal (30 mins)

·         Time allocated to Plaid Cymru (60 mins)

·         Time allocated to the United Kingdom Independence Party (60 mins)

Business Managers agreed to defer discussions on the paper whilst the Welsh Government continue their discussions with the UK Treasury.  The Leader of the House agreed that the Welsh Government would ensure that there is still enough time to consult with the Finance and Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committees before coming to a decision on the procedure.

Business Managers discussed the paper and asked that the Secretariat draw up a note of discussions and potential areas for agreement by next week. 

Business Managers agreed to discuss with their groups about a wider review.

Business Managers noted the paper, in the context of discussions on item 5.1.

Mandy Jones

Business Managers agreed that Mandy Jones would be offered a place on the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee, and that a motion to that effect be added to Wednesday’s Plenary agenda.
