2.1 The Committee received evidence from the Chartered Institute of Housing Cymru.

3.1 The Committee received evidence from the Welsh Local Government Association.

3.2 The Welsh Local Government Association agreed to provide the following:

• a note on whether, and if so how, Housing Benefit records could be used to identify landlords within the private rented sector.
• a note on how the integration of the review of need and the strategic planning of homelessness services within local authorities’ Single Integrated Plan could be implemented, in practice.
• a response to the concern raised by a Member that a local authority in north Wales had included small private sites, including those where planning permission had yet to be agreed,  in its assessment of accommodation needs of Gypsies and Travellers, which had over-inflated the current site provision.
• a response to the concern that Gypsies and Travellers are being required to vacate their main sites for 6 weeks of every year and move to temporary sites, and provide a note on how local authorities will take account of this when meeting their duties under the Bill.

4.1 The motion was agreed.
