Agenda and minutes

1.1 No apologies for the meeting were received. The Chair welcomed Aled Roberts to his first official meeting of the Children and Young People Committee.

2.1 The Chair welcomed Dr Sue Greening and Stuart Geddes to the meeting.  Members questioned the witnesses.

2.2 The Committee agreed to write to the witnesses with questions not reached at the meeting.

3.1 The Chair welcomed the witnesses to the meeting.  Members questioned the witnesses.

3.2 The Committee agreed to write to Children in Wales with regards to the issue around the child protection register raised in their paper.

3.3 The flying Start Co-ordinators agreed to provide a note to the Committee on what elements could make up a flying start lite.

3.4 The Committee agreed to write to the witnesses with questions not reached in the meeting.

4.1 The Chair moved a motion under Standing Order 17.42 (ix) to exclude the public for the remainder of the meeting to discuss matters relating to the internal running of the Committee.

4.2 The Committee agreed the motion.

5.1 The Committee discussed potential areas for future work.
