The Committee took evidence from the Member in charge of the Bill, the Minister for Education and Skills, and his officials.

The Minister agreed to provide a note on the following:

 

  • Whether all HEFCW’s functions are included in the revised regulatory framework;

 

  • The costs associated with the Bill at present and in future years;

 

  • An explanation of how the Bill will affect HE providers who offer mainly part-time courses;

 

  • The operating arrangements between under graduate medical schools in North Wales and North West England;

 

  • The delivery of HE and the relationship between HEFCW and QAA.
