The Chair welcomed Members and the Public to the meeting. There were no apologies.

Huw Lewis AM, Minister for Education and Skills

The Committee heard evidence the Minister for Education and Skills on the Bill. The Minister agreed to provide the following information:

 

A full list of respondents to the Education (Wales) Bill consultation;

 

An explanation as to what it required under the section 160 process compared with that of the section 347 application;

 

Further clarification on the process of moving SEN children between local authorities.

In accordance with Standing Order 26.21 the Committee will dispose of amendments to the Further and Higher Education (Governance and Information) (Wales) Bill in the order which the sections and schedules to which they relate, arise in the Bill.
