The Chair welcomed everybody to the meeting. There were no apologies.

The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to the Minister for Finance and Leader of the House to seek her views on the petition.

The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to the Minister for Education and Skills seeking his views on the petition, and asking for an update on the work of the Task and Finish Group.

The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to;
Write to the Minister for Local Government and Communities; and the Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and European Programmes seeking their views on the petition;
Write to the WLGA asking how local authorities could support such a scheme.  

The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to the Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development seeking his views on the petition, and asking whether the legislation is effective and if he intends to hold a review on it.

The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to the Minister for Business, Enterprise, Technology and Science and the Minister for Finance as soon as possible to seek their views on the petition, asking what the findings of the recent consultation are, and when a decision is likely to made on the issue.

The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to;

Write to the Minister for Housing, Regeneration and Heritage seeking his views on the petition;

Seek wider views on the petition by writing to Pembrokeshire Council, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Pembrokeshire Tourism Association, South West Wales Tourism Partnership and relevant historical associations.

The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to share the petitioner’s correspondence with the Minister for Business, Enterprise, Technology and Science and ask her to respond to each of the points raised by the petitioner.

The Committee agreed to defer consideration of the petition to a future meeting once further information is received from the Welsh Government.

The Committee discussed the petition and agreed to launch a public written consultation on the petition. Dependent on the consultation responses the Committee may hold oral evidence sessions.

The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to;

Share the petitioner’s response with the Minister for Local Government and Communities asking that he responds to the questions raised, and that he details the timetable for the by-pass;

Secure a note of any decisions and actions that arise from future public meetings with the Welsh Government on the by-pass.

The Committee considered the ministerial correspondence on the petition and agreed to formally seek the petitioner’s response.

The Committee considered ministerial correspondence on the petition and in light of the decision to build a new renal unit, it was agreed to close the petition. The Committee congratulated the lead petitioner for his persistence in pursuing the issue.

The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to;

Write to the Minister for Health and Social Services asking that the Committee be kept updated with progress of the review and the findings once completed;

Write to Professor Siobhan McCelland to notify her of this petition.

The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to;

Write to the petitioners seeking their views on the consultation exercise, and if they felt the public had sufficient opportunity to input into the proposals;

Write to Hywel Dda LHB asking for an update on the decisions made at the extraordinary Board meeting and how the petitioner’s views and the broader consultation have informed the Health Board’s decision making. 

The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to;

Write to the Minister for Health and Social Services, highlighting the specific concerns raised by the petitioner and ask that she responds directly to these; and seeking an update on the work being undertaken by officials with NICE to allow the adoption of the NICE Quality Standard in Wales;

Write to Gofal, Hafal, and Mind Cymru to seek their views on the issues raised by the petition.

The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to write to Cwm Taf LHB asking when a decision will be made about the location of the unit, and how further analysis will be undertaken.

The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to;

Write to Hywel Dda LHB asking for an update on the decisions made at the extraordinary Board meeting, sharing the petitioner’s information and asking what consideration has been given to these issues;

Write to the petitioners seeking their views on the consultation exercise, and if they felt the public had sufficient opportunity to input into the proposals.

The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to;

Write to Hywel Dda LHB asking for an update on the decisions made at the extraordinary Board meeting and what specific consideration has been given in relation to the Special Care Baby Unit provision, and ask how the petitioner’s views have informed the Health Board’s decision making;

Write to the petitioners seeking their views on the consultation exercise, and if they felt the public had sufficient opportunity to input into the proposals.

The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to;

Write to the Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and European Programmes asking; how he intends to reinforce the use of passports, when consultation will be undertaken on possible legislation and asking that the petitioners are included in this consultation;

Write to the four Police and Crime Commissioners in Wales to make them aware of the petition.

The Committee considered the three petitions and agreed to;

Write to the Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development asking; that the Committee be kept informed of the work of the Task and Finish Group, provide more information on the subsequent consultation and ask that the petitioners for all three petitions are involved in any consultation;

Write to the petitioners asking if they feel they have had sufficient opportunity to engage with the consultation process.

The Committee considered ministerial correspondence on the petition and agreed to;

Write to the Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development sharing the petitioner’s information and asking for further details on the research into the impact of windfarms on tourism and include a timeframe;

Seek more information from the petitioners on the issues raised in the correspondence.

The Committee considered ministerial correspondence on the petition and agreed to formally seek the petitioner’s views on the ministerial correspondence.
