Supplementary Legislative Consent Motion on Education Bill NDM4835 Leighton Andrews (Rhondda) To propose that the
National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 29.6, agrees
that, in addition to the provisions referred to in motions NNDM4731 and NNDM4660,
those provisions which have been brought forward in the Education Bill relating
to
powers to impose a monetary penalty, recover costs, receive appeals, give
directions and withdraw recognition from recognised bodies, insofar as they fall within the legislative
competence of the National Assembly for Wales, should be considered by the UK

Debate on the Annual Report of the Children's Commissioner for Wales NDM4836 Jane Hutt
(Vale of Glamorgan) To propose that
the National Assembly for Wales: Notes the
Children’s Commissioner for Wales Annual report 2010-11 and that the Welsh
Government will provide a formal response by 31 March 2012. Supporting Document The
following amendments have been tabled: Amendment 1 - William Graham (South Wales East) Add new point at end of motion: Acknowledges concern raised by the Children’s Commissioner that: a) there is a failure of strategies to work together and work on the ground
to improve the lives of children; b) there is a failure to consistently implement national law and policy;
and c) accountability lines are blurred, and that promises are un-kept. Amendment 2 - William Graham (South Wales East) Add new point at end of motion Calls on the Welsh Government to address the issues raised in the report. Amendment 3 - Jocelyn Davies (South Wales East) Add new point at end of motion Regrets that the Welsh Government is unable to provide a response to the
report earlier than 31 March. Amendment 4 - Jocelyn Davies (South Wales East) Add new point at end of motion: Calls on the Welsh Government to set out clear timescales to deliver action
points, in its response to the Report.
