On Tuesday, Voting Time would be after the final item of business. On Wednesday, Business Committee agreed that Voting Time would take place before the Short Debate.

Business Committee noted the 3 Week Timetable of Government Business.

Business Committee determined the organisation of business and agreed to schedule the following items of business:

Wednesday 28 January 2015

·         Questions to the Assembly Commission (15 mins)

·         Time allocated to the Welsh Conservatives (60 mins)

·         Time allocated to Plaid Cymru (60 mins)

·         Time allocated to the Welsh Liberal Democrats (60 mins)

Business Managers agreed in principle to refer the Local Government (Wales) Bill to the Communities, Equality and Local Government Committee for Stage 1 consideration.

Business Managers agreed to defer a decision on the Bill’s timetable to allow for consultation with the Communities, Equality and Local Government Committee.

Business Managers considered proposed amendments to Standing Orders to put into effect the recommendations of the Standards of Conduct Committee’s report in relation to the Registration and Declaration of Members’ Interests and Membership of the Standards of Conduct Committee.

Business Managers agreed to consult with their groups on the proposals and to return to the matter at the Business Committee meeting on 20 January 2015.

Business Managers confirmed that they were content with the format of Spokespeople Questions which have been in place since the beginning of the autumn 2014 term. 

Business Committee agreed that the next individual Member debate should be on Wednesday 11 February 2015.
