The Minister for Finance and Government Business updated the Committee on changes to Government Business on Tuesday.

 

On Tuesday, Voting Time would be after the final item of business. On Wednesday, Business Committee agreed that Voting Time would take place before the Short Debate.

Standing Orders

4.1

Review of SO30A - Consent in Relation to Statutory Instruments made by UK Ministers

Minutes:

In October 2013, the Assembly agreed to amend Standing 0rder 30A on legislative consent to statutory instruments made by UK Ministers. At its meeting in July 2013, Business Committee agreed to review the process in a year’s time in light of experience. Business Managers agreed that Standing Order 30A does not need further reviewing at this time.

Any Other Business

The Presiding Officer brought the possibility of industrial action on 15 October to the Committee’s attention. Business Managers agreed to consider options of re-scheduling business at the next meeting and will decide on a course of action then.

 

Elin Jones enquired about the ministerial responsibilities of the Deputy Minister for Health as set out in the Ministerial Responsibilities document provided by the Government. The Minister for Finance and Government Business agreed to raise the issue with the First Minister and report back to the Committee.
