·         the Minister for Culture and Sport seeking clarification on the timeframe for the proposed Heritage Bill and whether it will contain proposals in respect of local listing;

·         Cadw asking for more information on discussions that have taken place with the developer and the reasons why sporting venues cannot be listed; and

·         the Local Authority regarding local listing.

It was clarified that it was not the Stradey Park pitch which was subject to the ‘Village Green’ application as was stated in the update report, but an area in the wider Stradey Park estate.

 

The Committee agreed to await the outcomes of the Cadw consultation, due in April 2012;
Write to the developers to seek their views.

The Committee agreed to:

·               Write to the Minister for Housing, Regeneration and Heritage to seek his views on the petition and to clarify whether the planned Heritage Protection Bill will address some of the broader issues that have arisen during consideration of this petition related to the protection of sites and buildings of local and national interest.
