Minutes:
The Committee considered
correspondence on the petition and agreed to seek the views of Cardiff City
Council on the proposals and participation model outlined by Tennis Wales and
whether they would be prepared to consider working with Tennis Wales in the way
suggested in their letter to the Committee.
Committee Members also indicated that they would, if neccesary, be
available to facilitate a meeting with Swansea Tennis Centre.

The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to:

the Minister for Culture and Sport
seeking his views on the petition and clarifying the current position regarding
the designation of the facility as the Welsh National Tennis Centre;
·
Virgin Active seeking clarification on
whether they have any contracts with the Council or the Welsh Government;
·
Swansea Tennis Centre seeking
information on their recent experience regarding funding issues;
