The Committee agreed that, as the matter was subject to an ongoing public consultation, the petition would be kept open pending the outcome of that consultation.

Minutes:
The Committee considered the petition and there was a divergence of views on whether to keep it open, given that the matter was likely to be raised in plenary. However, the majority view was to highlight the petition with the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care (also noting the separate non-Senedd petition from the campaign group SOSPPAN with over 10,000 signatures), and to keep the petition open a further six months to see the outcome of the Cabinet Secretary and Health Board’s monitoring of the situation.
