Minutes:
The Committee noted the helpful response from the General Medical Council and agreed to share it with the Health and Social Care Committee, which was likely to consider menopause service provision in future scrutiny of the Women’s Health Plan. Members thanked the petitioner for raising an important issue and agreed to close the petition.

Minutes:
The Committee considered the petition and agreed to keep it
open pending the publication of the Women’s Health Plan, and refer the petition
to the Health and Social Care Committee for consideration in scrutiny relating
to that plan, as previously agreed with petition P-06-1444 Women of North Wales
have the right to have a Menopause Services/Clinic in Ysbyty Gwynedd.
The Committee also agreed to write to the General Medical Council to seek more information on how it ensures that medical training includes menopause as a mandatory aspect.
