2 Consideration on Oaths and Affirmations

The Committee considered the use of Oaths and Affirmations and agreed to write to Business Committee to propose an additional temporary Standing Order 35 – Wales Covid-19 Inquiry Special Purpose Committee to allow the Committee discretion to require witnesses to take an Oath before providing evidence.

Minutes:
3.1 The Members noted the protocol for co-Chairing arrangements.
3.2 The Members noted the proposed temporary Standing Order for the Covid Special Purpose Committee.
3.3 The Members discussed the role and remit of the Committee and agreed to closely track the work of the UK public inquiry and start to gather expert advice and support to inform its work. The Committee agreed to reconvene in September to develop a timetable for its work.
