The Committee considered the petition and noted the positive outcome of the petition. Members put on record their thanks to the petitioner, those that had signed the petition and local campaigners for their support for the petition and agreed to close the petition.

In closing the petition, the Committee wished to remember Ashley Rogers and others who have tragically lost their lives at this junction and passed on their thoughts to their family, friends and loved ones.

To propose that the Senedd:

Notes the petition ‘P-06-1356 Introduce comprehensive safety measures at the A477 'Fingerpost' junction’ which received 10,310 signatures.

The motion was agreed in accordance with Standing Order 12.36.

The Chair provided an update to the Committee on his recent visit to the A477 'Fingerpost' junction site where he met with the local Senedd Member, Sam Kurtz, along with campaigners, local councillors, and representatives from Simon Hart's office.

Members agreed to await the outcome of the debate which is scheduled to take place on 22 November.

The Committee considered the petition and agreed to liase with Samuel Kurtz MS to arrange a visit to the A477 'Fingerpost' junction.

Members also agreed to write to the Business Committee to request a debate on the petition following the site visit.
