Minutes:
The Committee considered the petition and noted that despite highlighting the petitioner’s concerns to the Welsh Government, the Minister remains certain that the 2008 Regulations and Code are fit for purpose. In light of this the Committee agreed to close the petition and thank the petitioner for highlighting concerns regarding the impact of controlled burning.

Minutes:
The Committee considered the petition and in light of the response from the RSPB and the petitioner, the Committee agreed to write to the Minister for Climate Change to ask if there are any plans to review the statutory code and regulations on controlled burning, ensuring that they align with and support the objectives of Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and Sustainable Land Management.

The Committee considered the petition and agreed to write to
the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds seeking their view on whether it
is necessary to allow some burn management, and if the window for doing so is
appropriate.
