·         write to the Minister for Economy, Science and Transport asking for more information on how the Welsh Government intends to ‘reconsider our options along the Welsh trunk road length’ and sharing the correspondence from Powys Council; and

·         request a research briefing on agreements between the UK and Welsh Governments to facilitate cross-border working.

Forward the Minister’s response to the petitioner and ask for details/ records of safety issues;

Write to the appropriate body/bodies to enquire whether there are safety issues on the English side of the border;

Write to the Minister to request that he discuss the issue with his English counterpart.

Write to the Minister to seek further information on the background to the Llanymynech and Pant Bypass and to ask whether he would be willing to work with the relevant UK Government Minister to resolve the problems described the petitioners;

Write to the UK Government Secretary of State for Transport to ask whether she would be willing to work with the Welsh Government to resolve the problem, copying in Owen Paterson MP.
