The Committee considered the petition and welcomed the increased prioritisation now being given to people with a learning disability in the Covid-19 vaccination programme. In light of this, the Committee agreed to congratulate the petitioner and close the petition.

Leanne Wood MS declared the following relevant interest
under Standing Order 17.24A:
She knows the petitioner.
The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write back to the Minister for Health and Social Services to ask:
· for consideration to be given to offering priority vaccination to people with learning disabilities of all ages who are living in residential or care home settings;
· what consideration was given when assigning this group its vaccine priority level; and
· when the this group should expect to receive their vaccine based on the current vaccination programme.
