Minutes:
The Committee considered the
petition for the first time and noted the statement by the Minister for
Economy, Transport and North Wales that
a crossing will be installed and further work will be considered in the next
financial year. The Committee also noted the statement that community
consultation on whether this section of road should be included in the national
implementation of a 20mph default speed limit will need to be led by the local
authority, and concluded there was little it could do at a national level at
present. The Committee therefore agreed to write to the petitioner to thank him
for raising the issue, propose that he raises the Deputy Minister’s response
with Ceredigion County Council for their consideration and to close the
petition.
