and, given that the petition was first considered over 4 years ago and the next
steps involve operational decisions for the local authorities to take forward,
agreed to close it.

the Brecon Beacons National Park (BBNP) Committee were scheduled to consider
local listing of the site on 7 February, it was understood that this had now
been deferred by a month. The Committee
agreed to write to BBNP asking for an update on the position.

The Committee agreed to ask Brecon Beacons National Park Authority for an update on the situation, including whether it will be considering placing the building on a local list.

The Chair declared an interest in the subject as the local councillor for Talgarth.
The Committee agreed to:
Write again to Cadw to suggest that it put temporary measures in place to protect such buildings until the Heritage Bill is passed;
Write to the Minister for Housing, Regeneration and Heritage to request that temporary protection measures are put in place until the Heritage Bill is passed;
Write to Brecon Beacons National Park Authority emphasising that the site is in a conservation area and to ask that any accepted planning application protects buildings of note in the conservation area.
