Minutes:
The Committee agreed to write to the Minister for Health and
Social Services, providing a summary of the position gathered from health boards
and sharing the responses received. It also agreed to request a further
response outlining what further action that Welsh Government intends to take in
light of the facilities and services outlined.

Minutes:
The Committee considered an update on the petition and
agreed to write to the Minister for Health and Social Services to ask him to
intervene to ensure that all health boards are supported and enabled to provide
separate facilities for people who are going through miscarriage.
The Committee also agreed to write to all health boards to highlight the petition and the issues raised by the petitioner and ask:
- for information about the
provision of facilities in their hospitals for supporting families
experiencing miscarriage, and specifically whether support is available
separately to maternity wards or could be improved in light of the
experience of the petitioner; and
- for details of ongoing
support services available to families who have been bereaved, both
through miscarriage and through other causes.

Minutes:
The Committee considered the petition for the first time and acknowledged the trauma parents experience when losing a baby and wished to thank the petitioner for highlighting these issues. The Committee agreed to write back to the Minister for Health and Social Services to ask what the Working Group is doing specifically on the issue of ensuring that t people experiencing miscarriage have access to spaces and facilities which are appropriate to their situation, and whether the recommendations of the Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales report can be considered as part of this.
