Minutes:
In light of the petitioner’s acceptance of the additional explanation provided by the Minister for Education and the fact that grades for the 2019/20 academic year are unlikely to be changed at this stage, the Committee agreed to close the petition and thank the petitioner as there is little further the Committee could achieve.

Minutes:
The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to:

share
the petitioner’s further comments with the Minister for Education and seek a
response to the issues raised and further questions asked, including the
concern over the wellbeing of students opting to sit two sets of exams;
·
write
to organisations representing head teachers to seek their views on the approach
being taken in Wales; and
·
seek
the views of Members of the Youth Parliament.
