Minutes:
The Committee considered correspondence on the petition, and whilst Members agreed that this is a very important issue, they accept that Welsh Government are already undertaking work to improve the anti-bullying strategy. Members agreed there is little further they can do as a Committee, but noted that they can individually raise awareness of this important issue and the good practice shared. In closing the petition Members praised the young people for their commitment and engagement with the Petitions Committee throughout, including both past and present students, and the Committee congratulated them on the work they are doing in their own community.

Prior to the meeting the Committee watched a video from the Wellbeing ambassadors, who had also recently visited the Senedd. The Committee considered the petition and agreed to write back to the Welsh Government to ask if there have been any further developments since November 2019, and specifically about whether the anti-bullying guidance and the whole school approach framework is in place.

The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to invite the Dŵr y Felin School Wellbeing Ambassadors to give further evidence on their role, either by meeting with the Committee or providing this on film.
