Debate on Air Passenger Duty - the case for devolution

To propose that the National Assembly for
Wales:
1. Notes the report of the Welsh Affairs Committee,
Devolution of Air Passenger Duty to Wales.
2. Welcomes the unanimous recommendation by
the Welsh Affairs Committee that Air Passenger Duty should be devolved to the
National Assembly for Wales.
3. Notes the consistent cross party support
that exists for the devolution of Air Passenger Duty across this Assembly,
including the position set out in the Finance Committee’s submission to the
Welsh Affairs Committee report.
4. Calls on the UK Government to respond to
the report by:
a) setting out proposals to devolve Air
Passenger Duty to the Welsh Assembly; and
b) fully devolve Air Passenger Duty by 2021.
