LCM on the Rivers Authorities and Land Drainage Bill

To propose that the National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 29.6 agrees that provisions in the Rivers Authorities and Land Drainage Bill, in so far as they fall within the legislative competence of the National Assembly for Wales, should be considered by the UK Parliament.

A Legislative Consent Memorandum has been laid in Table Office on 15 March 2019 and a Revised Legislative Consent Memorandum has been laid on 18 April 2019 in accordance with Standing Order 29.2.

Business Managers noted that the Plenary debate is proposed to take place on 30 April for 15 minutes, and that this allows for 3 sitting weeks of committee scrutiny instead of the usual 6 weeks, due to UK Parliamentary timelines.

Business Managers agreed to refer the LCM to the Climate Change, Environment and Rural Affairs Committee, with a reporting deadline of 25 April.
