3.1 The Committee heard evidence from the NHS Wales Health Collaborative.

3.2 The National Clinical Lead for Perinatal Mental Health agreed to provide a note on the following:

·         how many of the recently trained Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Champions are Welsh speakers;

·         the total number of Royal College of Psychiatrists’ (RCPsych) quality standards that are currently in place.

3.1 The Committee heard evidence from the Minister for Health and Social Services.

3.2 The Minister agreed to provide a note on the following:

·         The perinatal mental health data and information collected by Local Health Boards and the Welsh Government;

·         The number of women who have been placed due to perinatal mental ill health on an adult psychiatric ward without their child;

·         The timescales within which all Local Health Boards will be expected to have signed up to the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ quality standards; and

·         Further information on the directory of third sector services and how it is updated.

3.3 The Minister committed to providing:

·         at the end of the 2018-19 financial year, a comprehensive outline of the settings in which women have been treated for perinatal mental ill health, including in the community, adult psychiatric wards, and mother and baby units; and

·         six monthly updates on progress in relation to the Committee’s recommendations and other developments in perinatal mental health services in Wales.
