Minutes:
2.1
The Committee scrutinised the First Minister on the Welsh Government’s approach
to embedding the rights of children and young people in Wales into its
legislation, policies and practices.
2.2
The First Minister agreed to provide further information or clarification to
the Committee on:

The
establishment of a formal mechanism, such as a Young People’s Advisory
Committee, to listen to the views of children and young people as part of the
Brexit process;
·
The
Welsh Government’s commitment to universal, open access youth provision across
Wales.
2.3 The Chair undertook to
provide the First Minister with any examples of the difficulties experienced by
young people in obtaining work experience placements, received through the
Committee’s engagement work.
