The
Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to close the
petition and, in doing so, write to the Cabinet Secretary for Economy and
Infrastructure to ask him to inform the Committee of the findings on the
proposed review after 12 months of data has been collected from the enforcement
of the Variable Speed Limit.

Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to the
Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Infrastructure to enquire whether a full
assessment of the impact of the introduction of the variable speed limit has
been carried out, and ask for any findings to be shared with the Committee.
