Committee considered comments from the petitioner and agreed to close the
petition on the basis that the budget for Families First will be maintained for
2017-2018.

Hedges declared the following relevant interest under Standing Order 17.24A:
The
petitioners are known to him but he has no involvement with petition.
The
Committee considered the petition for the first time and, following the
confirmation in the draft budget that funding for Families First will be
maintained in 2017-18, the Committee agreed to await a response from the
petitioner before deciding whether to take further action on this issue.
