Committee considered correspondence from the petitioner and agreed to close the
petition given the issue has recently been the subject of detailed attention by
the Climate Change, Environment and Rural Affairs Committee, and that the Welsh
Government has accepted that committee’s recommendations.

Committee is holding a scrutiny session on the use of snares on 30 November
2016.
The
Committee agreed to await an update following the scrutiny session and consider
the petition at a future meeting, alongside an expected update from the Cabinet
Secretary for Environment and Rural Affairs.
