2.1 The Committee considered reports from the Commissioner for Standards in accordance with Standing Order 22.2(i).

2.1 The Committee noted the report from the Acting Commissioner for Standards in accordance with Standing Order 22.1(1).

2.2 Andrew RT Davies asked for it to be noted that he would like to see all the information in the Commissioner’s annex published and not redacted, However, the majority view of the Committee was to redact the information relating to the meeting, as it considered the summary of the matters discussed at the meeting set out at paragraph 6.4 of the Commissioner’s report sufficient for the intelligible understanding of the complaint and the Commissioner’s findings in this case.

4.1 The Committee considered proposals to review the pay received by the Acting Standards Commissioner.

4.2 The committee agreed to recommend that the Acting Commissioner’s pay should be amended to bring it in line with that of the previous post holder, with effect from 7 October 2020.

4.3 The committee noted that under the National Assembly for Wales Commissioner for Standards Measure 2009, the decision to vary the terms of appointment of the Acting Standards Commissioner requires the approval of the Senedd.

 3.1 The Committee discussed the Acting Commissioner for Standards’ remuneration and it was agreed the Committee Secretariat would prepare a short report for Member’s consideration.

2.1 Members considered the Commissioner for Standards Report in accordance with Standing Order 22.2(i).

2.2 During Members consideration of the Commissioner for Standards Report in accordance with Standing Order 22.2(i), they took oral evidence from Vikki Howells AM, the Member concerned. Ms Howells was accompanied by Anthony Cooper, Secretary of the National Assembly Labour Group.

Sir Roderick Evans QC

2.1 Sir Roderick Evans QC, Commissioner for Standards, outlined his priorities for his term in office.

5.1 The Commissioner for Standards agreed to conduct some initial ground work on how the lobbying arrangements are working in other Parliaments and present his findings to Committee in November.
