Members received a factual briefing from the Welsh Government on the Public
Health White Paper.
3.2
The Committee agreed to write to the Chief Medical Officer to request information
about the number of children and young people using electronic cigarettes and
traditional tobacco products.
3.3 The Committee agreed to write to the Minister for Health and Social Services to seek clarification on whether, in his view, the Assembly has legislative competence in relation to minimum unit pricing, and about any discussions which the Minister or his officials have had with the UK Government on this matter.
