To propose that the National Assembly for Wales:

 

1. Regrets:

 

a) the rapid decline of local media provision and its impact on the reporting of public life and politics in Wales; and

 

b) the funding crisis within the broadcasting industry.

 

2. Calls on the Welsh Government to:

 

a) look for solutions to address the resulting democratic deficit; and

 

b) actively seek to influence the Public Bodies Bill so that the future of S4C is safeguarded.
