To propose that the National Assembly for Wales:
1. Considers the draft International Health Framework, which was emailed to
Members on 20 February 2012; and
2. Notes the Framework’s approach to:
a) strengthening Wales' health links within the international health community;
and
b) heightening the visibility of the wider Welsh health community beyond our
borders.
The following
amendments were tabled:
Amendment 1 - William Graham (South Wales East)
Add as new point at end of motion:
Calls on the Welsh Government to recognise the importance of attracting the
best international health minds to Wales through world class higher education
research activities.
Amendment 1 was agreed, in accordance with
Standing Order 12.36.

Amendment 2 - William Graham (South Wales East)
Add as new point at end of motion:
Regrets that the Welsh Government has decided to implement 8.4% real terms
cuts on the Welsh NHS which may inhibit its ability to increase and improve
international links.
