To propose that the National Assembly for Wales:
Notes Welsh Government action to improve mental health and well-being in
Wales.
The following amendments were tabled:
Amendment 1 - Aled Roberts (North Wales)
Add as new point at end of motion:
Notes that the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services: Follow-up
Review of Safety Issues 2013, found that “children and young people continue to
be put at risk due to inappropriate admissions to adult mental health wards”
and calls on the Welsh Government to establish a firmer procedure for health
boards to report on inappropriate placements on adult mental health wards.
Amendment 1 was agreed in
accordance with Standing Order 12.36.

Calls on the Welsh Government to introduce a national framework to ensure
continuity of treatment in the transition between Child and Adolescent Mental
Health Services to Adult Mental Health Services, including a streamlined
information sharing system between providers.
