Purpose:
This
is a matter where the consent of the National Assembly for Wales is sought by
the UK Government to legislate on an issue which could normally fall within the
competence of the Assembly.

Health and Social Care Committee reported on the Legislative Consent Memorandum for
the Care Bill (PDF, 150KB) on 25 June
2013.
The
Health and Social Care Committee reported on the revised and supplementary Legislative
Consent Memoranda for the Care Bill (PDF, 351 KB) on 18 November 2013.

debated together but with separate votes.

To propose that the National
Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 29.6, agrees that
provisions of the Care Bill, relating to UK reciprocal arrangements for cross
border placements of adults, arrangements to ensure continuity of care for
adults in the event of provider failure and to require Welsh Ministers to
co-operate with the Health Research Authority, in so far as they fall within
the legislative competence of the National Assembly for Wales, should be
considered by the UK Parliament.

Order 12.36
