The National Assembly for Wales agreed the Natural Resources Body for Wales (Functions) Order 2013 on 19 March 2013.

Background

 

The Natural Resources Body for Wales (Functions) Order 2013 transfers functions from existing bodies to Natural Resources Wales.

 

The Environment and Sustainability Committee considered an early draft of the Natural Resources Body for Wales (Functions) Order, in advance of it being formally laid before the Assembly.

 

The first version of the draft Order was formally laid on 15 November 2012.

 

The draft Order was considered by the Environment and Sustainability Committee, the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee and the Assembly in Plenary.

 

A final version of the draft Order was formally laid on 22 February 2013. It was agreed in Plenary on 19 March 2013.

 

This is the second Order made under the Public Bodies Act 2011 that relates to the creation of Natural Resources Wales. Details of the Assembly’s considerations of the first Order can be found here.
