This is a matter where the consent of the National Assembly for Wales is sought by the UK Government to legislate on an issue which could normally fall within the competence of the Assembly.

The Children, Young People and Education Committee considered the Legislative Consent Memorandum (No. 1) for the Children and Social Work Bill. The Legislative Consent Motion (No. 1) for the Bill was agreed in Plenary on 29 November 2016.

The Health, Social Care and Sport Committee considered the Supplementary Legislative Consent Memorandum (No. 2) for the Children and Social Work Bill. The Supplementary Legislative Consent Motion (No. 2) for the Bill was agreed in Plenary on 13 December 2016.
