call upon the National Assembly for Wales to urge the Welsh Government to
investigate whether legislation relating to safety of holiday and residential
caravan parks in Wales is adequate and/or properly enforced. If not, we urge
the Welsh Government to take appropriate action. We are especially concerned
about the following safety hazards:
1. The space between caravans;
2. The storage of bottled gas; and
3. The siting of caravans and other combustible structures in the 3 metre clear area round the site boundary.
All of these examples present safety risks which do not appear to be adequately enforced at present.
