Purpose of the consultation
The Remuneration Board has launched its consultation on the annual review of the Determination. The consultation ran from 07 January to 17 February 2022.
The Board reviews the Determination on Members’ Pay and Allowances on an annual basis to ensure that the allowances provided remain appropriate for the upcoming financial year.
The Determination for the Sixth Senedd was published in March 2021 and came into force following the Senedd election in May 2021.
Details of the Board’s proposals regarding the allowances for the next financial year (2022-23) are provided in its consultation document (PDF 565 KB).
Providing written evidence
The Senedd has two official languages, Welsh and English.
In line with the Senedd’s Official Languages Scheme, the Board requests that documents or written responses to consultations intended for publication or use by the Board are submitted bilingually. When documents or written responses are not submitted bilingually, they are published in the language submitted, stating that it has been received in that language only.
The Board expects other organisations to implement their own standards or schemes and to comply with their statutory obligation.

The deadline for submissions was 17.00 Thursday 17 February 2022. It may not be possible to take into account responses received after this date.
