EVENT: Price 300: Celebrating the life and times of Dr Richard Price

Description: This event will be a celebration of the life and work of Dr Richard Price of Llangeinor, in the tercentenary year of his birth. Price is arguably Wales's greatest intellectual, and during the second half of the eighteenth century he contributed a huge amount to developments in philosophy, politics, theology and science, on an international scale. Dr Patrick Spero, Librarian for the American Philosophical Association will address the event on Price's links with Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, as part of a partnership with the Learned Society of Wales. There will also be a roundtable discussing his life's work with leading academic experts, and a discussion on Price's contemporary relevance with Members of the Senedd.
Open to the public: Attendance at the event is by invitation only however the Senedd and the Pierhead will remain accessible to the public during our normal opening hours.
