The Board received an economic update following the latest changes to the

Annual Review of the Determination for 2025/26 (9.30 - 10.15) Paper 4 – Annual Review of the
Determination on Members’ Pay and Allowances 2025-26 Minutes: §
The Board considered a series of proposals for
the consultation in the annual review of the Determination 2025/26. Decision §
The
Board agreed the proposals to be included in the consultation and will agree
the final consultation document in its December meeting ahead of the
consultation being issued on 8 January 2025. |

Board considered several matters relating to Members’ resettlement and winding
up matters and support staff redundancy payments at the end of the Sixth
Senedd. § The Board agreed to include these matters in
the consultation on the annual review of the Determination 2025/26. |

indexation of Members’ and Staff salaries for the Seventh Senedd. |

Update on the simplification review (11.20 - 12.00) Paper 6- Update on the simplification
review Minutes: §
The
Board received the latest update on the simplification review, including two
‘model’ draft chapters. §
The
Board endorsed the work undertaken to date and approved the ‘model’ chapters
provided. § The Board agreed to write, in due
course, to the Chief Executive regarding the proposed approach to matters such
as appeals and claims processes. |

The
Board received a presentation from Beamans and considered a draft Job Families
grading framework. §
It
was noted that the draft framework would be tested with Member and staff
representatives and the Board will consider the matter further again in early
2025 prior to consulting on the new pay and grading framework and staffing
allowance in the spring. Decision: § The Board agreed to write to the Chief
Executive regarding the implementation timeframe. |
