Introductions, apologies and substitutions

Minutes:

·         There were no apologies.

Inquiry into a Smarter Energy Future for Wales

Minutes:

·         Witnesses responded to questions from Members of the Committee.

 

·         Ofgem offered to attempt to compile figures for the total amount of renewable energy generated in Wales.

 

·         Ministers agreed to provide the Committee with the total figure for the amount of renewable energy produced in Wales, calculated using the same definition for ‘community energy’ as that used in Scotland;

 

·         Ministers agreed to provide the Committee with a note on the nature and source of the funding for the feasibility study for Smart City in the Swansea Region and other initiatives in RCT and Flintshire;

 

·         The Minister for Economy, Science and Transport agreed to provide the Committee with a copy of the discussion points from the Energy Wales Strategic Delivery Group;

 

·         The Minister for Natural Resources agreed to consider publishing a Technical Advice Note on ‘One Planet’ developments in more built-up areas, to complement the existing advice for rural areas.
