I cannot support this legislation when there is already law in place to deal with the situation. The consequence would undoubtedly result in many children being taken from parents and sent to 'homes' where the risk of abuse would be to allow paedophiles free reign beyond imagination. The rights of children then become non-existant.

The unintended consequences are an uncontrollable rise in delinquent children from 'homes' for orphaned children.

The costs would rise out of control as years go by. Then cuts in budgets to care for children in 'homes' would be cut and these children would be in a far worse situation.
