The law already protects children from violence. To describe a loving smack as violence is completely misleading.
it appears ridiculous that the Welsh Assembly are still considering this issue, especially when a 2017 ComRes poll found that 76 per cent of Welsh adults were against criminalising smacking, whilst only 11per cent were in favour. Surely this is a good indication of how the electorate feel about the issue.
We must remember that children are not adults and must be shown the dangers they face before they are able to understand the dangers that they will face in their lives. Smacking is used to warn children of dangers and should not be a criminal offence otherwise it could jeopardise the children's safety.

A waste of tax payers money even considering the bill.
