I was subjected to this kind of "punishment" as a child. It still affects me today. No child should ever have to go through that. There should be more support and education for parents and children instead, starting during pregnancy, all the way through young adulthood. There should always be someone parents can turn to when they don't know how to deal with a child. Hurting children in any way is unacceptable.

This is long overdue and continuous efforts should be made to then implement it nationwide.
