No child or young person should suffer from any form of violence.  There is never any reason to hit or smack a child or young person.  This Bill goes some way to abolish violence against children and young people by members of their families.

1.3 Do you think there is a need for legislation to deliver what this Bill is trying to achieve?

Yes.  Unless you abolish smacking through legislation nothing will change.  It has to be legislated. No smacking means no smacking!!!!!
