1.I believe it will be massively counterproductive as in Sweden among the under 15s.
2. I live in England but accompany my young grandchildren to Wales when this could be relevant.
3.There is already a law against violence to children. A loving smack is not violence.
4.Already the police do not have time to properly follow up all legitimate lines of enquiry. Following up minor reported smacking of children is likely to result in real cases of child abuse being missed.
5.With some children, at some stages of their life, and for some types of bad behavior
, an instant smack is likely to be the most beneficial and effective response from a parent.
