I believe already the protects children from violence and is completely misleading to describe a loving smack as violence. When you look upon Sweden in 1979 when smacking was banned child on child violence increased dramatically..

No I think it is a waste of time. Smacking is used to warn children of dangers before they are old enough to understand a verbal warning. I believe criminalising it will actually jeopardise children's safety.
